Thanks to everyone who chipped in and made this happen.  It was chilly at times, but I had a great time.  It will be interesting to see what next year brings.

Camp Milo 2014 – Both Fun and Entertaining

Hopefully, a wonderful time was had by all.  Despite all the whooping, hollering, general merrymaking and effervescent entertaining, no one was seriously injured, nor was law enforcement involved in any significant capacity during the entire weekend.

Honorable mentions go to Dad for raking around all those leaves.  He is also very much to blame for everyone making it through the weekend unharmed.  I personally witnessed several times where he intervened BEFORE something bad happened (I’m good at providing feedback well after something happens).

I’m not aware of any fire-related issues that happened during the event.  I don’t believe I melted any of my shoes.  Also, no metal bars or walking sticks were torched (that I’m aware of).  Note:  the incident with “Uncle Phil – The Flaming Twinky Eater” is not considered a fire related event.  Thankfully, the cold temps kept things to a minimum.  Every day that goes by decreases the likelihood of a repeat performance.

I am still trying to get the smoke smell out of my clothes, coat, hat, etc.  That’s a minor issue, but I am pretty sure others in the party had similar issues.

FYI…all indications are that the mushroom was both properly identified and fully edible.  No related incidents of any kind have been reported to me.  It was also pretty tasty.  Contrary to my assumptions, it did not taste smokey (see paragraph above).

No chase-es that were able to run faster than the chase-rs were harmed.

On paper, this was a nearly harmless event.
