Jim’s Tribute to Marsha

Transcript in article.

Laura sent out letters asking for tributes to Marsha in celebration of her 55th birthday.  This was Jim Keppy’s contribution:

One evening my wife said to me, are you going to answer Laura’s letter or are you going to throw this thing away?  So, during that moment of un-sanity, I wrote this:

Let’s see here, it says, oh, a little tidbit of wisdom it starts out with.  Everyone climbs the ladder of life, even Marsha.  Some people skip a step or two along the way just to get to the top a little sooner, but not Marsha.  No, she stepped on every rung of the ladder on the way up.  In evidence of this, we can look at her camping career.  She started out in a tent, but that was okay.  Just starting out, you know.  The next step, a pop-up, which is a tent on wheels.  But, oh how she loved it!  And, of course, she even let her brother borrow it and take it to the state fair.  Nice girl.  Yep!  Next, a little hard sider.  A really little one, but oh how she loved it.  Next, a longer hard side, no slide outs, though.  But, oh how she loves it.  What’s next?  Well, obviously it’ll be one of those with two or three slide-outs, and then maybe even one that’s… self-propelled.  No matter though, she’ll really love it.  Happy camping baby sister!
