75 Gallon – Think about this seriously. This is a nice setup that would be lower maintenance than smaller tanks. Less work…would look great: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/420295950909582/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Afb6eb405-1f37-4c63-aa6e-f9f1f775e2f1
55 Gallon – A little smaller, but would look nice. It’s still big enough to be stable:
30 Gallon – I wouldn’t go any smaller than this…ever. Small tanks are too unstable and hard to maintain:
Unknown size, but this would be beautiful: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/903095278496195/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Afb6eb405-1f37-4c63-aa6e-f9f1f775e2f1
A nice 55 with a hood:

36 Gallon Bow Front – Very small, but you could do it:
Filters
The filters that come with new aquarium “kits” are garbage. Don’t count on them.
Filters that come with your aquariums may also be garbage. How good your filter is will determine how hard you need to work to keep your tank clean and how healthy it will be.
General Guidelines
Buy twice as much filter as it’s rated for. If you have a 40-gallon aquarium, buy ~80 gallons worth of filter.
Highly consider buying one of these:
Over the back filter (sits on the top/back of the filter): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCVYEOT?tag=track-ect-usa-1277603-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1
Canister filters sit under your aquarium. Make sure you buy a stand with room for it.
While more expensive, they are some of the best you can get.

You’ll need a siphon to clean your aquarium:
See THIS LINK or get that at Petco.
Always get a magnetic cleaner!

Get some buckets for water. You’ll need several.
- 5 Gallon buckets will probably do it. Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards are all fantastic places to get these.
- I use 30 gallon toats for my setup. If you get a bigger aquarium, you may want to think about this. You’ll need to do 20% wather changes.
- 40 Gallon = 10 gallon water changes (5 gallon buckets will work for this)
- 220 Gallon = 45 gallon water changes (this would be a lot of 5 gallon buckets)
