Everyone is adjusting and doing fine. I got quite a nitrate spike from acclimating the live rock. I did 50% water changes once a week which kept it between 50 & 90. I don’t like to have it that high, but I also don’t like to do frequent water changes that large. No one seemed to stress after the water changes. In fact, they seemed to perk up a good bit.
They are energetic little fish, always trying to convince me to give them more food. Right now, I’m avoiding algae and limiting hard food. They were showing some signs of a minor swim bladder issue (hanging out at the top of the water column). Everything seems good now. I’ll probably primarily feed them shrimp and pre-soaked pellets for a few days, just to be sure. (food that swells, like algae and pellets, can pressure a swim bladder when the food swells, making the problem worse).
