Keppy Christmases Past

A few resourceful Keppy family members dug up some old 8mm film reels with footage of Keppy Christmases past.  (Yes…it’s spelled Christmases)

Shortened versions of those videos are in this article.  Hopefully, they help remind us of family members that are not with us anymore.  I really enjoyed watching these.  I hope you enjoy them as well.

There was a lot of blank space and bad lighting in the original videos.  I went through and cut out a lot of the less-than-exciting shots to help make them a little easier to watch.  I did my best to filter out the crazy bright scenes & lighten the dark ones.  It was really tough to see many of the scenes in the original videos.  Hopefully, these edited versions are a little easier to watch.
The person running the camera in the original shots tended to take a lot of very short clips of events.  This makes the videos seem a bit choppy.  However, it doesn’t take long to adjust to this.
The videos are roughly in chronological order (oldest at the top…newer at the bottom).  I believe they span from 1969 -> 1976 and another from 1989 -> 1991, but don’t quote me on the older dates.

I really enjoyed these videos.  Many thanks to the peeps who got them and transferred them to digital form.  There are more video’s  of everyday life from the same years as these vids.  I’ll post those soon (I still have more editing/cutting to do).  Keep checking for updated videos at thedelay.com.
