We’ve added a couple of inmates to the tank:) Both are considered “maintenance fish,” because they help keep things clean in the tank. Its important to start with these kinds of fish to keep everything in balance.
Since the tank isn’t fully established, I still need to feed them on occasion, but they mostly eat algae and other “bad stuff” in the aquarium. Eventually, they will keep the tank clean and bright.

This is a Foxface:
He mostly eats green/hair algae but will help cleanup most anything. He tends to occupy the bottom 1/2 of the tank. He’s super fast and very active. He’s very interactive, similar to the clowns, and comes to the front of the tank if you wander over there.
This is a Peppermint Goby:
He is generally a bottom dweller and scoots around the tank, trolling the gravel for anything he can find. He is excellent at keeping the tank clean and scoops up any bits that the other fish leave behind.
He does wander up onto the rocks fairly often, but spends a majority of his time on the bottom. He’s very active, but tends to ignore us completely. He just does what he wants.
He is NOT a picky eater and will eat almost anything that even closely resembles food. Unfortunately, he doesn’t eat algae at all.
Next, I’ll look for another inmate to help Foxface keep the algae under control. The rocks are absolutely covered in the stuff and I need to get it under control.
